Time for a little "behind the scenes" of what goes on over here at Popcarte.com. What constitutes a normal day in the working life of a member of the Popcarte Team?
The day normally begins quite early with the commute to work. For example, today I was up at around 7.30 to take the train into the city centre. During these long journeys, I normally entertain myself with a variety of podcasts to keep my mind off things. IGN's Game Scoop and anything from LoudySpeak.com are currently my podcasts of choice.
One I arrive at the office at around 9.30, it's time to get the head down. The day normally begins with a few rudimentary tasks such as checking the app's progress up the iTunes charts and sending out a few test cards to make sure everything on the site is working as it should.
I typically have a few major projects to keep me busy during the day. Recently this has mostly involved testing a variety of new and exciting applications! You can check out the fruits of my labor now by downloading our iPhone app, and believe me when I say that more is on the way!
Lunch invariably brings a trip to McDonalds around the corner, except when I'm running low on funds. Big Mac please!
Also keeping me busy are our variety of social networking sites and video channels. Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Dailymotion and Flickr! Always something new to find out on these sites on any given day.
